By Ryan
I know wheels are something that you should wait awhile before adding a review, but there weren't many for these wheels and I'm still pretty stoked on having new wheels, so I'll add a preliminary review. Obviously I have no information on durability. I'm pretty good about coming back and updating my reviews after some more use.
I'm replacing my stock Vuelta XTP wheels that came with my bike seven years ago. I know people get very serious about wheels and pulling off milligrams, but I just wanted a decent wheelset that was reasonably light and was true, and stayed true, for a price I could handle. I'm a run-of-the-mill road biker with average equipment. I don't have a carbon frame bike or Dura Ace, so I'm not going to spend a grand plus on super light wheels to try to increase my average ability. The Equipes feel quite light (to me), very solidly built and came at a good price. I got the white wheels because they were significantly cheaper but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really like the way they look with all black tires. I couldn't really think of a bad thing to say about them given the price: good solid construction, wheels were true out of the box, Shimano hub is fluid and smooth (clicks louder than my current but that really doesn't bother me), reasonably light. 4/5 stars until I have durability data.
